The reason I am hiking the Appalachian Trail is to raise awareness and support for clean water in Zambia, Africa. I am doing this through the great organization Active:Water. My goal is to raise $4500 (around $2 per mile), which is enough to build a well in a small village in Zambia, providing clean water for hundreds.
